The Mattoon Fire Department has a 36 firefighter rosterwith Chief and Asst. Chief to total 38, of which all 36 Line Personnel are union members. We are Union PROUD and Union STRONG.

2006 Ford F-150 and 2006 Harley Davidson Raffle for Operation Sleighride
The Mattoon FD in conjunction with Ridings-Xamis-Crews of Shelbyville and Jack's Legacy Harley Davidson of Effingham,
will be giving away a 2006 Ford F-150 and 2006 Harley Davidson Dyna-Glide. Yes you win both!!! 2nd Place is $10,000, 3rd Place is $5,000 4th Place is $2,500 and 5th Place is $1,000
. Tickets are just $25 each or you get 5 for $100. Only 5000 tickets will be sold and they are going fast. The proceeds will go to support the Operation Sleighride Program which takes children shopping at Christmas.
Union represented at Special Olympics Family Festival
Fire Department members assisted again this year at the Special Olympics Family Festival. This gives us a great oppurtunity to be hands on with the public. Plus these kids love the fire trucks and FirePup. Below in the photo, Union FireFighter Sean Junge(we had to look twice to make sure it was a costume too) poses in the FirePup costume with one of the special olympians of the day.
