Operation Sleighride Fundraiser
The Mattoon FD in conjunction with Ridings-Xamis-Crews of Shelbyville and Jack's Legacy Harley Davidson of Effingham,
will be giving away a 2006 Ford F-150 and 2006 Harley Davidson Dyna-Glide. Yes you win both!!! 2nd Place is $10,000, 3rd Place is $5,000 4th Place is $2,500 and 5th Place is $1,000
. Tickets are just $25 each or you get 5 for $100. Only 5000 tickets will be sold and they are going fast. The proceeds will go to support the Operation Sleighride Program which takes children shopping at Christmas.
Fire vs Police Charity Softball Game
On August 20th at 6pm at Mattoon's Lawson Park, the Mattoon Fire and Police Departments will square off
in a charity softball game. The money raised will support the Shop With A Cop, Mattoon Juvenile Risk Watch and Operation Sleighride Programs.
Donations will be accepted at the gate for admission. There will also be 50/50 drawings and other incredible opportunities to support these charities.
